Her grandchildren, Aaron (Kathryn) Martinez of Tyler; Jacob Martinez of Arizona; Angela Martinez (Jerry McLaughlin) of Lubbock; Maurio Gutierrez of Lubbock; Lindsey Gutierrez of Lubbock; and Austin Gutierrez of New York. She enjoyed the time she spent picking up her grandchildren from school and having them spend the night at her house. Great-Grandchildren, Rogers and Landry Martinez of Tyler, Amelia and Violet Jones-Martinez of Arizona. Siblings, Armando (Lorraine) Garcia of New Mexico, Alicia (Agustin) Rey of Plainview, Abel (Mona) Garcia of Beeville. The viewing will be held Monday, October 25, 2021, at 4pm in The Chapel of  Broadway Funeral Directors. A service led by Rev. Fred Smith to follow at 6:30pm. Interment to be at Cementerio Evangelico in Beeville, Texas on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Because of Amelia’s love for cats and dogs, the family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to their local animal shelter of choice. The family would like to especially thank Vera Gutierrez, who never hesitated to visit or help and whom Amelia loved dearly. Thank you to Dr. Nehal Mittal for the years of caring for Amelia medically. And thank you to Allie Seifert from Caprock Home Health for everything you did to help Amelia regain her strength.

We will miss your sweet spirit, Nana.
