Anita Torres

Anita R Torres, 64 passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at University Medical Center. Services for Mrs. Torres will be 10:00 Monday, July 11, 2016 at The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Rev. Ruben Torres & Timothy Raub officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  A prayer service will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Broadway Funeral Directors.

Anita was born November 3, 1951 in Lubbock to Cesario & Margarita Romo.  She married Henry V. Torres on February 21, 1969 and worked for Texas Instruments for 14 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with her family & friends.

She is survived by her husband, Henry V. Torres of Lubbock; a daughter, Valentina Torres of Lubbock; one brother, Tommy Romo of Lubbock; five sisters, Consuelo Rios, Margarita Otero, Bessie Torres all of Lubbock, Simona Serate, Blanca Deleon both of Austin.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fernando Romo, Cesario Romo Jr.
