Cesario Garcia "Charlie"

Cesario Garcia, lovingly known as Charlie, passed away on October 14, 2023, Lubbock. Born on October 23, 1954, in Littlefield, Texas, he touched the lives of many throughout his journey. With a kind heart and unwavering dedication to his work and family, Charlie left an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Charlie's career spanned several decades and showcased his strong work ethic. He tirelessly served the community, working for Complete Lawn Care Service. His commitment to keeping the city clean led him to the City of Lubbock's solid waste department where he made a significant impact for many years. Even after retiring from landscaping, Charlie continued to brighten people's day by working part-time in the produce department at Wal-mart.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charlie found immense joy in pursuing his hobbies and spending time with loved ones. Gardening was a passion that allowed him to connect with nature and create beautiful landscapes both at home and within the community. He possessed remarkable attention to detail when it came to maintaining and detailing his vehicles, showcasing his meticulous nature.

Charlie's greatest source of happiness came from being surrounded by family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come. His spirit will forever live on through the memories of those he left behind, his son, Bobby& Elizabeth Garcia; his daughter, Priscilla & James Tiner; one brother, Juan Garcia; two sisters, Gloria Rodriguez, Rosalinda Hernandez; five grandchildren, Ryan Garcia, Anna Garcia, Isaiah Saldivar, Riley Tiner, Micah Tiner.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Estella Yolanda Garcia, his son Eddie Garcia, and his brothers Guadalupe Garcia and Pablo Garcia.

A Memorial Gathering to honor Charlie's life will take place on October 17, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Broadway Funeral Directors located at 1901 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX 79401. It is a time for all who knew him to come together, sharing stories and celebrating the impact he had on their lives. As we bid farewell to Charlie Garcia, let us remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for having the privilege of sharing our lives with such a remarkable individual. While he may no longer walk among us, his love and legacy will continue to inspire us all. May he rest in eternal peace.
