Chris Casey

Chris Calvin Casey, 46 passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Lubbock. Graveside services for Mr. Casey will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 9, 2019 in The City of Lubbock Cemetery with Father Martin Pina officiating.  Entombment will follow there in the Mausoleum at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A Celebration of His Life will be held 6:00 pm Thursday evening, August 8, 2019 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors.

Chris was born June 18, 1973 in Petersburg to Clarence & Helen Casey.  He graduated from Slaton High School in 1991 and later graduated from Texas Tech in 2000 with a Bachelors in social work.  He worked for United Supermarkets as a Manager for their Taphouse department and enjoyed Texas Tech Sports, attending his niece’s softball games and hanging out with friends.  His memory will always be cherished and his friendship will truly be missed.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Clare of Coleman; his life partner, Sonia Garza of Lubbock; a Goddaughter, Madison Ruiz-Garza of Lubbock; two brothers, Kenneth Casey of Hale Center; Michael Casey of Coleman; a sister, Crystal Holland of Coleman

He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Allen Casey & one brother, David Casey
