Consuelo Marmolejo Lopez

Consuelo Marmolejo Lopez, 79, was born December 20, 1943, in Waco, to Jose & Guadalupe Marmolejo.  She worked as an Optician for over 50 years and really enjoyed helping and volunteering in her community. She was always looking for ways to serve and in doing so, inspired a devotion for helping at Women’s Protective Services.  Being a licensed cosmetologist, she used her talents to help women in need by providing hair haircuts and other services. She really enjoyed decorating; but what she loved more than anything was the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

On January 26, 2023, Consuelo M Lopez was called from this earth into the arms of her eternal father.  Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons and daughter- in-law, Julio & Edwina Diaz, Henry Diaz all of Lubbock;  six brothers and daughters-in-law, Joe B Marmolejo of Idalou, Fred & Rosie Marmolejo of Idalou, Enrique Marmolejo of Waco, Ruben & Sally Marmolejo of Waco, Eddie Marmolejo, Steve & Rhonda Marmolejo all of Lubbock; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine & Ramiro Rodriguez, Alicia & Sam Revilla all of Lubbock; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents ,Jose & Guadalupe Marmolejo; one son, Johnny Diaz; one brother, Danny Marmolejo.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 Friday, February 10, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Phillip Dauspil officiating. All services were made under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
