Danny Lara

Danny Lara, 52 passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at University Medical Center.  Services for Mr. Lara will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2017 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm the same day.

Danny was born September 30, 1965 in Lubbock to Henry A. Lara & Christina Luna.  He married Linda Loera in 1988 and worked as a roofer for most of his life. He loved softball, music (mainly 80's rock) watching the Dallas Cowboys and wrestling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends who he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lara of Lubbock; two sons, Brian Loera, Eric Lara both of Lubbock; his father, Henry A. & wife Olimpia of Lubbock; his mother, Christina Luna of Lubbock; two brothers Rick Lara and Michael Lara both of Lubbock; six sisters, Modesta Lara, Linda Lara, Patty Lara, Tonya Lara, Victoria Hiracheta, and Erica Hiracheta all of Lubbock; 2 grandchildren, Brison Loera, and Alaina Loera of Lubbock; several nieces and nephews.
