Prayer services for David Alaniz 56 of Lubbock will be today at 7 PM at The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10 AM with Rev. Projedes Ortiz Officiating in The Chapel. Burial will be in The Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of The Broadway Funeral Directors.
Mr Alaniz went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Pedro and Paula Alaniz.
He married San Juanita Barrera on April 20, 1976. He was a migrant farmer for many years traveling from the valley to work in West Texas. He had worked for Muniz Trucking. He was a catholic. He loved to cook out and spend time with his family and Holguin's Motor Club.
Survivors include his wife San Juanita of Lubbock, three sons David Alaniz Jr, (Jennifer), Luis Alaniz and Victor Alaniz all of Lubbock, two daughters Daisey Torres and Christina Depew (Bryan) all of Lubbock, three brothers Arturo Alaniz of Garceno,Texas, Pedro Alaniz Jr of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Juan Martin Alaniz of Garceno, Texas, seven sisters Guadalupe Serna of Broham,Ida Maldonado of Lamesa, Graciela Velasquez of El Paso, Maribel Alaniz of Hobbs, New Mexico, Angelita Alaniz of Hobbs,New Mexico, Adela Sanchez and Gloria Rosa both of Garceno,Texas Fourteen grandchildren.
