Esther Salazar

Esther Ramos Salazar, 77 passed away in Lubbock.  Services for Mrs. Salazar will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Deacon Joe Morin officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 9:00 am.

Esther was born January 1, 1942 in Aspermont, TX to Pedro & Maria Ramos.  She married the late Juan V Salazar Sr. in June of 1956 in Lubbock and was a catholic.  A retiree of Texas Instruments, Esther enjoyed weekend shopping at goodwill stores, garage sales and watching scary movies.  She was very fond of her neighborhood and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Steve Salazar of Lubbock; three daughters, Beatrice Castillo, Yolanda Salazar, Raquel Salazar all of Lubbock; one brother, Roy Ramos of Lubbock; a sister, Sophia Castillo of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan V Salazar Sr (Aug, 1999); a son, Juan Salazar Jr (March,2005)
