Helen Ambriz Delgado

March 8, 1956 — September 30, 2024

Lubbock

Helen Ambriz Delgado, a cherished pillar of her family and community, left this world on September 30, 2024, in her beloved hometown of Lubbock. Born March 8, 1956 in Lubbock to Jesse and Lupe Ambriz, Helen's life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and creativity.

To those who knew her well, Helen was a warm-hearted soul who never met a stranger. She embraced each person with open arms and an open heart, making them feel seen and valued. Her remarkable personality shone brightly in her roles as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and adoring grandmother. Helen created a harmonious home, infusing it with love and laughter, making it a sanctuary for her family.

Her legacy continues through her loving husband, Jesus Herrera; her three sons, Michael Jeffery Delgado and his wife Melissa, Rene Ivan Delgado, and Jesus D. Herrera, each of whom carry forward her spirit in their own lives. The laughter and joy she thrived on are echoed through her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whose lives she brightened with her affection.

Helen's creative passions were many; she expertly crafted beautiful jewelry and home decor, each piece reflecting her unique artistic vision. Her love for gardening flourished just as vibrantly, with flowers that bloomed like her delightful personality. Truly, she loved staying busy, always finding new projects to pour her heart into, ensuring that her home was alive with the essence of her talents.

In reflecting on her life, we cannot overlook the love and support of her siblings, her brother Daniel Ambriz and sister Josephina Pena, both of Plainview, Texas.

Though Helen leaves behind a profound void, she is reunited with her parents as well as her dear brother Robert Ambriz and sister Eva Ambriz. Their memories now join hers in eternal serenity, a testament to a life well-lived and richly connected.
