Helen P Nava

Helen P. Nava, 70, was born October 24, 1952, in Nebraska.  She married Roberto Nava on November 18, 1968 in Lockney and enjoyed gardening, tending to her Pecan Trees and her yard.  She loved spending time with her family and even more so when it came to her grandchildren.

On May 12, 2023, surrounded by family, Helen P. Nava answered the call of her baptism and was called home.  Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roberto Nava of Petersburg; one son, Rogelio Nava and his wife Marie of Petersburg; three daughters and their husbands, Adriana & Vicente Torrez, Claudia & Mark Mata, Patricia & Ricky Tatum all of Petersburg; two brothers, Raymond Rodriguez of Houston, Freddie Pena of Lubbock; four sisters, Adela Esqueda of Lubbock, Angel Markham of Corpus Christi, Christy Harris of Corpus Christi, Gloria Sauceda; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Robert Nava Jr. (2000); her daughter, Belen Gunter (2007); her mother, Jesusa Rodriguez; a sister, Andrea Vasquez (2012)    

Services for Mrs. Nava will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the 1^st Baptist Church in Petersburg with Pastor Mark Mata officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Fellowship of Faith Church in Petersburg. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors.
