Isaiah Rongelio Rodriguez, born on May 2, 1991, in Lubbock Texas to Rongelio & Olga Rodriguez, was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who brought joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing him. On November 12, 2024, he joined his brother in heaven, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Isaiah dedicated his career to carpentry, working diligently as a journeyman and foreman for Zachry Engineering. He took immense pride in his craft, exemplifying not only skill but also a profound commitment to creating beautiful, tangible legacies through his work. His hands built more than just structures; they helped craft the foundation of a loving home for his family.
A proud graduate of South Plains Academy in 2009, Isaiah was known for his creativity and passion for life. He found joy in simple pleasures, spending cherished moments with his children, Leevi, Lenix, Lilliana and Isabelliah. He instilled laughter and happiness in their lives, nurturing their spirits as they created countless memories together.
Isaiah had an undeniable zest for life that extended beyond his family. He was an enthusiastic car lover with a special fondness for classic cars, often found admiring their craftsmanship as if they were works of art. As a passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens, he shared many exhilarating moments with friends and family, cheering for his team with earnest enthusiasm. Isaiah also possessed a gift for drawing and enjoyed bringing his ideas to life, particularly when building things with his hands. His ability to make others laugh and his appreciation for Texas rap music made him a friend to many.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Louisa Rodriguez of Lubbock; his sons, Leevi and Lenix Rodriguez; his daughters, Lilliana Reyna and Isabelliah Rodriguez, all of Lubbock; his parents, Rongelio & Olga Rodriguez; his brother, Roy Rodriguez; and his four sisters, Stephanie Martinez, Miranda Ibarra, Christal Martinez, and Amanda Hernandez, all of Lubbock. Together, they remember him not just as a family member, but as a guiding light whose love and spirit will forever remain in their hearts.
Isaiah is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Martinez; his maternal grandparents, T. H. & Josefina Hernandez; and his paternal grandparents, Santos & Mercedes Rodriguez. They welcomed him with open arms, reuniting in eternal peace.
