Jennifer Castro Velasquez, a devoted mother and grandmother, bid farewell to this world on March 1, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born April 11, 1974, in Big Spring to her late parents, Louis Velasquez and Dora Castro.
A dedicated Dialysis Tech by profession, Jennifer displayed unwavering strength and resilience in all aspects of her life. Her commitment to caring for others shone brightly through her work, touching the lives of many with compassion and kindness. Her remarkable career is a testament to her nurturing spirit and selfless dedication. Described as a strong woman with a heart of gold, Jennifer's infectious love for life illuminated every room she entered. Her laughter was a melody that brought joy to those around her. Jennifer found joy in various pastimes - from playing tennis and softball to indulging in creative crafting pursuits. She enjoyed traveling and exploring new horizons embracing the adventures that each journey brought forth. She was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and her painting game days with excitement and team spirit were unmatched. More than all, Jennifer loved spending time with her family and many grandchildren whom she traveled every other weekend to Big Spring just to see.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Joel Villa, her three daughters, Jessica Villa, Briana Mendoza, Adrienne Mendoza, and seven adoring grandchildren who meant the world to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Velasquez and Dora Castro; two sisters, Melissa Velasquez, Bernice Velasquez.
