Joba Montes Beaven, 60, was born May 14, 1960 in Abernathy to Pedro & Elena Salinas. Joba worked as a caregiver for most of her life and enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to music, and going to church. She also enjoyed collecting pictures and was very fond of the color green. More than anything, Joba loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On the morning of March 5, 2021, Joba Montes Beaven was called from this earth and into the arms of her loving savior. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Nicholas Rosas of Lubbock; a daughter, Lauren Beaven of Lubbock; fi ve brothers, Rito Montes of Lubbock, Juan Montes of Wolforth, Victor Montes of Amarillo, Pete Montes, Jesse Montes both of Lubbock; five sisters, Lupe Perez of AR., Beatrice Pacheco of Amarillo, Anita Herrera of Slaton, Elvira Austin, Pat Montes both of Lubbock; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Vanessa Ann Orasco.
A celebration of life will be held 10:00 am Saturday, March 13, 2021 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Viewing will be Friday, March 12, 2021 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with Rev. Comas Guffery. All arrangements were made under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
