Joe A. Solorzano, 50 of Tahoka passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Viewing and visitation for Mr. Solorzano will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. the same day. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church-Lubbock with Father Martin Pina officiating. Joe was born November 5, 1971, in Slaton to Elpidio and Guadalupe "Lupe" Solorzano. He worked for Adams Paint Company for numerous years as a paint maker. In his spare time Joe loved barbequing, dancing, and listening to music by Jay Perez. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and loved to cheer his team on to victory. However, Joe’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, he had very fond memories of “performing” with his late brother Rudy Solorzano. As well as his children will always remember how he would always “school them in basketball and in track.” Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father Elpidio Solorzano (2017) and a brother Rudy Solorzano (September 17, 2019).
Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons Jordan Solorzano, Gabriel Solorzano and Isaiah Solorzano all of Tahoka; two daughters Mercedes Self and Miranda Solorzano both of Lubbock; his mother Guadalupe "Lupe" Solorzano of Tahoka; brothers Roy Solorzano and wife Diana of Lubbock, Ernest Solorzano of Tahoka, Juan Solorzano of Tahoka and Albert Solorzano and wife Linda of Lubbock; six grandchildren
