Joe Sosa

The family of Joe R. Sosa,72 of Lubbock, will gather this evening to receive friends  from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, a Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m., in The Chapel at Broadway Funeral Directors.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 in The Chapel at Broadway Funeral Directors.  Interment will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Mr. Sosa passed away March 15, 2018 in Amarillo.  He was born October 2, 1945 in San Angelo, TX, to the late Lorenzo and Antonia Sosa.  He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock, and worked for many years as a mechanic for Ryder Truck and later Mrs. Baird's.  He loved classic cars, hot rods and trucks.  He had a friendly personality and loved to joke.  He never met a stranger and was a friend to many; but he especially loved his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are a son, John Sosa of Lubbock; daughters Rachel Buckalew and Leticia Harris, both of Amarillo; sisters, Lydia Sedeno of Lubbock, Ida Delgado of Amarillo, Rita Martinez of Ft. Worth; seven grandchildren.
