Josie Perez

Josie A. Perez, 56 passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her residence.  A prayer service will be held tonight, Sunday October 4, 2015 at 7p.m., in The Chapel at Broadway Funeral Directors. Services for Mrs. Perez will be 10:00 am Monday, October 5, 2015 at Colgate Church of Christ with Arturo Puente officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.

Josie was born January 11, 1959 in Lubbock to Timoteo & Josefa Albiar. She was a Lubbock High graduate and married Richard Perez on June 2, 1979 in Lubbock. She loved music and was an outstanding cook.  Josie made a great impact on everyone she met and loved children.  Helping others and serving the community was nothing unfamiliar to her as she aspired to do the things of God in whom she trusted with all of her heart.

She is survived by her husband Richard Perez of Lubbock; a son Timothy Perez of Lubbock; a daughter Stephanie Perez of Lubbock; two brothers & sisters-in-law, Pete & Adeline Albiar of Lubbock, Joe & Yvette Albiar of Lubbock; four sisters & brothers-in-law, Lupe & Manuel Reyna of Lubbock, Rosa Gonzalez of Austin, Sarah Perez of Lubbock, Janie & Tino Calvillo of Lubbock; one grandson Cesar Perez of Abeline

She is preceded in death by her parents, Timoteo & Josefa Albiar; one sister Dora Garza.
