Juanita Martinez

Juanita G. Martinez, 76 was born Juanita Garcia on June 25, 1944 to Juan Garcia & Delphina Lopez.  She married the late Daniel V. Martinez on December 25, 1964 in Lubbock and had the honor of being a home maker for most her life.  Although she enjoyed shopping, working on her yard and reading her Bible; nothing really compared to the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

On the morning of July 5, 2020, Juanita G. Martinez went to be with her Lord and Savior.  Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughter, Veronica Guzman of Lubbock; stepdaughters, Petra Garcia of Lubbock, Diana Elvington of South Carolina; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel V. Martinez, her parents and stepfather, Juan Lopez; three brothers, Avar Lucero, Jesus Romero, Joe Lucero: two sisters, Rosenda Lucero, Rachel Garcia.

Services for Mrs. Martinez will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Pastor Jose Octavio Rico officiating.  Burial will follow in Peacful Gardens under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  A prayer service will be held for Mrs. Martinez at 7:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 2:00 the same day.
