Julian Lira Suarez, 58, was born July 2, 1962 in Mexico to Ismael & Ambrosia Lira. Julio, as everyone knew him enjoyed talking to almost anyone. He was often found talking to whom ever came around and to those he met from time to time anywhere. He enjoyed walking and loved going to the local flea market. Mainly, Julio loved spending time with his family and friends.
In the early evening of January 3, 2021 and much to early then ever expected, Julian “Julio” Lira-Suarez was called from this earth. Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Jose Guillermo Lira of Mexico, Jeremy Renteria Lira of Lubbock; his daughter, Karen Lira of Mexico; four brothers, Ascension Lira, Miguel Lira, Martin Lira, Candelo Lira all of Mexico; six sisters, Maria Ramirez of Perryton, Ernestina Lira, Santos Lira, Leticia Lira, Isabel Lira, Gloria Lira all of Mexico; four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ismael Lira and a sister, Noemi Lira.
Services for Julian "Julio” Lira Suarez will be 10:00 am, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Nueva Vida Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Gamez officiating. Burial will follow in O’Donnell Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A visitation will be held 7:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2021 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel in Tahoka.
