Lee Holden

November 16, 1936 — March 12, 2015

Lee Edward Holden, 78 of Woodrow, TX, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015.  He was born in Rochester, TX on November 16, 1936, to the late Lee and Leona Holden along with his brother Edwin.  Lee farmed and worked for United Supermarkets for many years.  He was involved in the Lion’s Club, Emmaus and the First United Methodist Church.  He married Judith Essary Holden of New Deal, TX on July 9, 1964.

Lee is survived by two sons, Lee Richard Holden and fiancée Angie Holloway of Lubbock, and Shannon Terry Holden and wife Meredith Gooch Holden of Lubbock.  Lee is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and brother-in-law Neal Essary and wife Sharon Essary; sister-in-law Terry Noblett and husband Bob Noblett; along with many cherished loved ones and special extended family.

Viewing for Lee will be held at Broadway Funeral Directors from 2-5 pm, Sunday, March 15, 2015.  A graveside service with family will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 in Tahoka Cemetery with Mr. David Earnest, officiating.  Services are under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors of Lubbock.
