Mackenzie Ney

Services for Mackenzie “Mack” Ney, 18 of Lubbock, will be held Friday January 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in The Chapel at Broadway Funeral Directors with Mack Moore officiating. She will be laid to rest in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.

Mackenzie passed away December 28, 2014 in Slaton. She was born May 30, 1996 in Plano to Timothy and Amy Haney. Mackenzie was a very outspoken young lady. She loved all types of music and animals. She had a passion for writing poems and drawing; while also creating crafts with her “G-Ma”. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Recently, she began to enjoy driving down country roads to view the scenery.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents; a brother Colton Haney of Lubbock; Three sisters Roslyn Martinez of Lubbock. Cheyenne Haney and Sierra Haney both of Mabank; an aunt Kaitlynn Pope of Slaton; Three uncles Cameron Pope of Slaton, Curtis Ney of Lubbock and Derek Ney of Houston; Her maternal grandparents Gary “Pops” and Norma “G-Ma” Pope of Slaton; Brant and Sylvia Ney of south Texas. Her paternal grandparents Fred and Sharon Rachal.

Viewing will begin 2:00p.m. Wednesday Dec. 31, 2014.
