Margaret Ann Jenkins, 82, of Lubbock was born May 21, 1938 in Roxton, Texas to Lois and Maggie Bass. She worked as a housekeeper for many years and enjoyed reading the bible, watching tv, singing, and making up songs that inspired her spirit. She would occasionally make up a silly song; but she mainly made up songs that glorified the God she served dearly. Margaret had a kind heart and a love for family that makes her memory one that will last forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
On the evening of November 24, 2020, Margaret Ann Jenkins was called from this earth and into the arms of her eternal savior. Those left to cherish her memory are her four sons, Douglas Wayne Randles, George Lee Randles, Albert Jenkins, Billy Charles Jenkins, all from Lubbock; two daughters, Shirley Thomas, Linda & John Williams both of Lubbock; one brother, James Bass of CA.; two sisters, Dolores Haggerty of Decatur, Texas, Ozzie Williams of Long Beach, Ca.; seven grandchildren, her oldest, Kimela Randles of Lubbock; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Jenkins; one son Oscar Lynn Randles; four brothers, Lois Bass Jr., Willie B. Bass, Harold Ray Bass, Charles Ray Bass; three sisters, Verna Gates, Frankie Mae Randles, Dorothy Bass
Viewing and visitation will be Sunday November 29, 2020 at Broadway Funeral Directors from 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday November 30, 2020 at 2:30p.m. at Broadway Funeral Directors Chapel with Supt. Christopher Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
