Maria Hernandez

Maria Dolores Hernandez, 94, was born May 16, 1926 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose and Andrea Rodriguez. She married the late Feliciano Hernandez on September 19, 1940 in McAllen and worked as a housekeeper for many years.  She was a devout catholic, a Guadalupana, and member of the Sacred Heart Organization. She loved playing bingo, the slot machines and doing whatever she could to take care of her family.  She cared for her husband lovingly until his passing in 1996 and was devoted to her grandchildren. Her memory will live on through her legacy of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

On the morning of November 19, 2020, Maria Dolores Hernandez was called from this earth into the arms of her loving savior.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Herlinda Servin, Pauline Gonzales, Guadalupe Cuevas, Maria Abrams; her sons, Feliciano Hernandez, Reynaldo Reyna; one sister, Lydia Gomez; forty grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, San Juanita Rodriguez; two sons, Antonio Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez; five grandchildren, Isidro Rodriguez Jr., Maria Guadalupe Cuevas, Miguel Servin, Abelino Servin, San Juanita Rodriguez

Graveside services for Mrs. Hernandez will be 10:00 am Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.  Burial will follow in the cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Monday, November 23, 2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 4:00 pm.
