Marissa Ann Bengoa, a vibrant soul born on December 3, 1988, in Lubbock, Texas to Eliseo & Vickie Bengoa, departed this world on April 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. With her unwavering spirit and infectious laughter, Marissa brought joy to everyone around her. She was not only a devoted mother but a friend whose warmth and humor enlivened the spaces she occupied.
Marissa's love for her four daughters – Jizzel Pina, Alexis Pina, Pepper Pina, and Ember Pina – was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her love was not just an ordinary feeling; it was boundless, a force that enveloped her children in comfort and guidance. Each moment shared with them was filled with laughter, showcasing her unparalleled ability to find joy in the simplest of things. Her sense of humor was a gift that brightened the lives of everyone she encountered, transforming mundane moments into cherished memories.
An avid cook, Marissa found solace and creativity in the kitchen, often crafting meals with love for her family. She embraced the art of cooking as a way to connect, sharing flavors and experiences that brought her loved ones together. When not whipping up delicious dishes, Marissa could be found coloring in her treasured coloring books, allowing her imagination to flow freely. The vibrant hues she chose mirrored her warm personality, reflecting the joy she spread to others.
Marissa had a fierce passion for music, particularly indulging in hard rock and heavy metal, genres that resonated with her spirited nature. Music was her sanctuary, a source of comfort, and often a backdrop to her daily life, enhancing her experiences and adding rhythm to her days.
She leaves behind her husband of 21 years, Daniel Pina; three sisters, Evalina Bengoa, Raven Bengoa, and Julia Esquivel; three brothers, Nazaray Bengoa, Carlos Bengoa, and Julias Esquivel, who will carry her memory in their hearts, forever cherishing the moments they spent together.
Sadly, Marissa is preceded in death by her father, Eliseo Bengoa, a loss that she bore with strength and resilience.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bengoa will be 10:45 am Friday, April 18, 2025, at Caprock Springs Fellowship located in Post, TX with Pastor Kirk Greer officiating. All arrangements were made under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
