Mary Lou Stanley Palmer passed away February 2, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. She was born September 16, 1932, in North Little Rock Arkansas and was the 5th child of Ewell Emmett Stanley and Esther Cumie Lary Stanley.

 She resided in North Little Rock until 1962 and since has been a resident of Texas living in Garland, McKinney, Abilene, Austin and Lubbock.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, and three sisters, Neldagene Newman, Dorothy Hamilton and Jeanette Briley, a son Stanley, and her beloved husband Rudy of 63 years.

 Survivors include a daughter Pamela Gayle Edens, of Lubbock, TX and a daughter Christy Lynn Silvia of Georgetown, TX, a granddaughter Kelley Anne Wright of Lovington, NM, grandsons Ryan and Jacob Silvia of Austin, TX, two great grandchildren Kaleb Wright of Lovington, NM and Madison Pebsworth of Midland, TX, three great-great grandchildren, Kash and Kensi Wright of Lovington, NM and Marley Pebsworth of Midland, TX. She is also survived by several nieces, one nephew and cousins.

 Mary Lou and husband Rudy moved from Abilene in 2004 to Austin to be closer to family. Mary Lou had recently moved from Austin to Lubbock where she resided at Carillon Senior Living.

While living in Abilene, Mary Lou served as a LVN and devoted employee at Hendrick Medical Center. Additionally, Mary Lou worked as an Administrative Assistant at Hardin Simmons University for 14 years. 

Mary Lou loved Jesus and studied God’s word daily. While living in Austin, she was a member of Northwest Baptist Church and later Hyde Park Baptist Church.

There will not be a formal service as requested by Mary Lou. Instead, a private family memorial will be held Celebrating the life of Mary Lou Palmer, “Well Done Good and Faithful Servant”.
