Mary Walker

Funeral services for Mary Ruth Walker, 84 of Shallowater will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., in  Shallowater United Methodist Church with Pastor Nick Matthews officiating.  Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 28, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walker passed away November 23, 2017 peacefully at home.  She was born January 20, 1933 in Shallowater to James and Inez Redwine.  She married Thomas Walker, November 12, 1957.  She worked for Shallowater ISD for 35 years.  She was a member of Shallowater United Methodist and was active in Methodist Women and Mustard Seed Outreach.

She is survived by her husband of Shallowater; son, Wesley Walker; and daughter Kathi Ellett both of Dallas; sister, Jimmie Urban of Dumas; seven granchildren; eight great grandchildren
