Michelle Ruiz

Michelle Barboza Ruiz, 45 passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at her residence.  Services for Mrs. Ruiz will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Ministerios Nueva Vida with Pastor Jesus Cisneros officiating. Burial will follow at Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.

Michelle was born June 29, 1970 in Lubbock to Andrew Barboza & Mary Jasso.  She graduated from Abernathy High School and attended Texas Tech for a few years. She worked as a radiology assistant at Covenant Hospital for many years and enjoyed being outside, dancing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Gabriella Marie Barboza Ruiz of Lubbock; her father, Andrew Barboza, mother, Mary & Raymond Martinez; one brother & sister-in-law, Andrew & Melba Barboza Jr. of Lubbock; a sister, Jennifer Barboza of Lubbock; ex-husband, Joe Ruiz III of Lubbock;  several nieces & nephews, Erica Daniel Barboza, Amanda Michelle Barboza, Isaiah Christopher Perez; Angel Palicki & husband Jared, great nieces & nephews, J’Lynne N. Perez, Lira L. Perez, Shelby Palicki, Ethan Palicki.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Abelina P. & Thomas Jasso, Anistacio Barboza.
