Morris Hickman, 77, was born October 22, 1945, in Lubbock to Henry Hatley & Thelma Lee Hickman. He married Betty Sue Walley on December 20, 1965, in Lubbock and worked as a truck driver for most his life. Morris was a hardworking man who enjoyed who wouldn’t have it any other way. He loved his job and was always busy doing whatever needed to be done. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing and was fun to be around as he was good at making people feel welcomed and always laughing. As his family put it, he was a good brother, father, grand-dad, and the kind of man who never met a stranger. He had many close personal friends who loved him as much as his family, and he will be missed dearly.
In the early morning of November 2, 2022, Henry Morris Hickman was called from this earth. Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons,Donald Wayne Hickman, Timmy Edgar Hickman both of Lubbock, Jerry Lyn Hickman of Arkansas; one sister, Marsha Day of Lubbock; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Hickman and one great grandchild, Adrianne Hope Hickman
Services for Mr. Hickman will be 10:00 Friday, November 4, 2022, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in The Dickens County Cemetery at 1:00 pm under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A viewing and visitation will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Broadway Funeral Directors.
