Nancy Ann Rivera, a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 54. Born on February 22, 1970, in Slaton, Texas to Raymond & Crisanta Rivera, Nancy's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her passionate commitment to her career.

For over seventeen years, Nancy served as a Manage Care Coordinator at Texas Tech Health Science Center, where her dedication and work ethic made a lasting impact. Clients and colleagues alike were touched by her compassion and professionalism. Balancing her career with her family life, Nancy was known to be a workaholic who poured her heart into everything she did. Yet, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she created countless cherished memories.

Nancy’s vibrant personality shone through in all aspects of her life. She had a playful spirit that thrived in gatherings, whether they included dancing the night away, engaging in heated rounds of card games and dominoes, or sharing the latest films she adored. Her passion for movies made movie nights a special occasion filled with joy and laughter, bringing loved ones together to enjoy both classics and new releases alike.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forever. Nancy is survived by her three sons, Paco Ortiz and wife Yvette of Oklahoma; Guadalupe Garza III and wife Marina; and Aaron Garza and wife Kimberly, all of Lubbock. She is also survived by her brother, Johnny Rivera of Lubbock; her two sisters, Connie Rivera, Elma Rivera and husband Jesse, all of Lubbock; as well as eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will remember her warmth and affection.
