On the morning of Friday, March 14, 2025, Pete went to be with the Lord. He was born June 29, 1936, in Kyle, Texas to the late Julian and Andrea Mojica. Later in life on June 18, 1976, Pete married Minerva Hernandez cherishing forty-eight years of a loving marriage.

For thirty-two years, Pete dedicated himself to Furrs Cafeteria as an assistant manager, where his commitment and hard work were a testament to his character. He found joy in managing and promoting a variety of bands, including "Mi Tequila," "The Cruiser Band," "Libre," "LA Band," and "Kastigo." His love for music echoed through the community, leaving lasting memories for many who danced and celebrated life at the rhythms he helped cultivate.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Pete had a heart full of love for life's simple pleasures. An avid fisherman, he found peace and reflection by the water, casting his line and embracing the tranquility that nature offered. In the company of friends, he would often engage in spirited pool games, sharing laughter and good times that lingered long after the game concluded.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons Andy Mojica and Rene Aguilar; a granddaughter Azalea Paige Mojica.

He is survived by his loving wife Minerva Mojica of Lubbock; five sons Alex Mojica, Jesse Mojica, Ronnie Aguilar, Pete Mojica and Christopher Mojica all of Lubbock; four daughters Sylvia Mojica Covarrubio of Lubbock, Laura Mojica Morales of Lubbock, Lisa Aguilar of Dallas and Mandi Flores of Lubbock; two brothers Antonio Mojica of Lubbock and Emilio Mojica of San Antonio; two sisters Teresa Navarrete and Josie Pena both of Lubbock; twenty-two grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
