Richard Garcia

Richard H Garcia, 76, was born July 17, 1944 in Dilley, TX to Pedro G. & Felipa Garcia. He worked for the City of Lubbock as a truck driver for most of his life and was married to the love of his life, Silvia Sanchez.  He was a jokester, hard worker, and enjoyed bar-b-cues and watching car races.  Above all, he loved spending time with family and grandchildren.

In the early morning of May 10, 2021, Richard H. Garcia was called suddenly from this earth and into eternal glory.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Silvia Sanchez of Lubbock; three sons, Richard Garcia, Alex Garcia, Stevie Garcia all of Lubbock; three step-sons, Ruben Martinez, Juan Martinez, Tomas Badillo III all of Lubbock; his daughter, Elisa Garcia of Lubbock; three step-daughters, Melissa Martinez, Sophia Martinez, Topacio Sanchez all of Lubbock; two brothers, Filbert Garcia, Benito Garcia both of Lubbock; two sisters, Estefana Perez, Lupe Cervantes both of Lubbock; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his ex-wife, Mary De Los Santos

He is preceded in death by a step-son, Antonio Martinez; his twin brother, Rudy Garcia and a brother, Trinidad Garcia.

Services for Mr. Garcia will be 10:00 am Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Joseph Thanavelil officiating. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, May 16, 2021 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors.  All arrangements were made under the direction of Broadway Funeral Direction.
