Rosalinda Mojica Salazar, 69, was born June 25, 1951 in Laredo, TX to Pablo & Maria Mojica. She graduated from Idalou High School in 1970 and went on to receive her degree in business from Draughon’s Business College. She married Abel Salazar on December 21, 1991 and together they owned and operated Simple Simons Pizza in Lubbock. Rosalinda was a strong believer in Christ and was incredibly involved in her church. As a licensed minster, she led as youth minister, church elder and was the Girls Ministry Director for the TLC Conference. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking and more than anything, spending time with her family and church.
On the evening of January 28, 2021 Rosalinda Mojica Salazar was called from this earth and into the arms of her beloved savior. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Abel Salazar of Lubbock; her stepson, Nicholas Salazar of Ohio; two sisters, Alicia Y Saldana, Diana Mojica Martinez both of Lubbock; one brother, Luis Ruiz Jr. of Idalou; four grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Apolonia Guardiola.
Services for Mrs. Salazar will be 10:00 am Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral directors with Rev. Ronnie Saldana officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A celebration of life will be held 6:00 pm Monday, February 1, 2021 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 8:00 am.
