Trinidad Garza Jr

Trinidad Garza Jr., 67, departed this world on August 19, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas, where he was born on November 26, 1956. His journey throughout life was marked by a heartfelt dedication to his family and a passion for music and cooking that brought joy to those around him.

His interests playing guitar, writing, and singing songs, which not only showcased his creativity but also served as a medium through which he expressed his deep feelings and shared cherished moments with loved ones. Trinidad’s also loved to cook as he often prepared meals that united his family, creating lasting memories around the dinner table.

He is survived by his son, Derek Tamez, of Washington; his brother, Jorge Luis Garza, of George Town; his sister, Josefina Castaneda, of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.

He is reunited with those who have gone before them; his parents, Trinidad & Paula Garza Sr.; three brothers, Gerardo Garza, Gilbert Garza, and Jose Carlos Garza, one sister, Dina Eloisa Garza. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00am Saturday, August 24, 2024, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Pastor Javier Castaneda officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
