Nadine Ham, 86 was born April 1, 1934 in the small town of Southland, TX to Jesse Albert & Lillie Irene Smith. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1952 and later went on to marry Jimmie D. Ham on June 14, 1967 in Lubbock. She worked as a legal secretary in the Civil Service for over 28 years and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and studying the bible. There was not a garage or estate sale she ever passed without stopping and spending time with her grandkids and great grandchildren was always time well spent. She loved her husband and her family dearly and her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
On the evening of May 4, 2020; Vivian Nadine Ham went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Those left behind to cherish her loving memory are her husband of 52 years, Jimmie D Ham of Lubbock; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty & Terry Ham of Alaska, Derek & Heather Ham of Lubbock, Darrin & Dawn Ham of Lubbock; one daughter & son-in-law, Cynthia & Raul Mata Jr. of San Antonio; four sisters, Sarah Hilliard, Margaret Walker, Juanita Hall all of Lubbock, Judy White of Mississippi; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a brother, J.A. Smith; a sister, Gayla Dillon
Services for Mrs. Ham will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 7, 2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Minister Joseph Billiot officiating. (Due to the current COVID – 19 pandemic and restrictions set up by the state; only 35 people will be allowed in the funeral home during the service. Service will be streamed by internet and can be seen via our website) Burial will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin 12:00 pm Thursday, May 7,2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors. ( Due to the current COVID – 19 pandemic and restrictions set up by the state; only 35 people will be allowed in the funeral home during visitation)
